Men’s Ministry

Calling all Men to Serve!

1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (ESV)

13 Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. 14Let all that you do be done in love.”
As leaders of his church, God calls each of us to be servants.  This scripture simply outlines a snapshot of what God wants from men. As we continually strive to develop and improve our relationship with God, with each other as well as do his will, the mission of the Central Men’s Ministry is to help you accomplish this.
Our mission is to:

•To bring men into a personal relationship with the creator.

•To unite men in Bible study, prayer, ministry, fellowship, and accountability.

•To become a supportive environment that touches the lives of the entire church family.

•To promote mentoring opportunities that lead to significant vital relationships.

•To become a magnet for service and a resource for other church ministries and missions.

•To provide a series of events that will promote fellowship, outreach, and evangelism.
Phillip Shivel is the ministry leader over our Men’s Ministry and has a committee who assists him.
We have many ways for our men to be involved in every aspect of the church (worship, teaching, service projects, fellowship activities, etc.) Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and let us know where you would like to serve. Student Ministry

Central has a vibrant Ministry to it’s students. The Student Ministry concentrates on ages 6th-12th grades. It is led by our Youth and Family Minister, Jeremy Hinote. This area at Central is one of the most active of all our ministries. Our youth have bi-weekly devotionals together, do service projects, attend multiple youth rallies throughout the year, attend an in-country mission trip each year and a week of Bible camp. They are constantly busy doing great things and produce great leaders within our congregation.
Student Ministry Mission Statement:
The Central Church of Christ, under the guidance of our congregation’s Elders, will maintain a program for our youth and their friends that will help the saved ones continue to grow in Christ, and teach the others how to become a Christian and follow Christ. With God’s help, sound biblical teaching, and a variety of activities, we will preserve a safe and encouraging Christian environment for our young people and their friends. We also exist to help promote parent-teen involvement and help promote parent-teen relationships. Parents are encouraged to be heavily involved in youth activities and to be the primary means of spiritual guidance in their children’s lives. With strong parental involvement, our aim is to help facilitate spiritual growth in our youth as they assume their place as vital members of the church, serving alongside the adults as fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
